CRC Care Workshop

CRC CARE (Cooperative Research Centre for Contamination Assessment and Remediation of the Environment) conducted a workshop for contaminated land professionals at Rydges Hotel at the Southbank in Brisbane recently to discuss the new technical guide for the Analysis, Management and Remediation of LNAPL in Australia.

LNAPL being Light Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids synonymous with hydrocarbon contaminated sites such as old service stations, fuel spill sites and airports.

This one-day workshop took participants through CRC CARE’s latest technical guide on the remediation of LNAPL. The guide, which provides consistent, pragmatic and systematic processes for managing LNAPL-contaminated sites in Australia, is relevant to contaminated site practitioners regardless of remediation technology or regulatory policy.
