What is environmental compliance?
Environmental compliance includes water quality testing, cooling tower risk assessments, legionella assessments, and soil and air contamination testing. Businesses must comply with all government legislation or regulatory rules and standards to protect the integrity of the environment. Non-compliance can result in hefty fines and public backlash.
How do you test for legionella in water?
When Legionella assessment is required, water quality testing must be performed by an accredited laboratory (complying with ISO/IEC 17025). They must use culture-based analysis to measure the number of Legionella colony forming units within the sample. A cooling tower assessment normally takes 3 to 5 days to complete.
Can you test for asbestos in the air?
Asbestos in the air can be tested by Hazmat consultants, along with water quality testing, cooling tower risk assessments and legionella assessments. Respirable asbestos fibres can result in fatal lung disease, so monitoring is essential whenever asbestos containing materials are being removed from a building.
Our expert Environmental Consultants operate across NSW and QLD with offices in Brisbane, Canberra, Dubbo and Sydney. We service all locations along the eastern side of Australia.
